Pre and post treatment recommendations are just as important as the treatment itself. Here are the measures you should take to ensure optimal results:

Measures clients should take to ensure optimal results?

  • Avoid exercise directly before a session. It will be harder to cool the body down and complete the CryoToning® effectively.
  • For best results, maintain the best possible diet and lifestyle to accompany the treatment. Please ensure that you drink enough water (half your body weight in ounces is the typical recommendation) every day for the 14 days following your treatment.

Why might Cryoskin make the skin dry after a facial?

One of the main proteins found on the epidermis is keratin. When performing a CryoFacial you can expect to receive many benefits. One of the main mechanisms of action in this facial is vasoconstriction and vasodilation, which causes microcirculation. These temperatures simultaneously on the skin can help to accelerate cellular turnover. The keratin that is ready to be sloughed off loses its flexibility; due to the increase in cellular turnover on the epidermis, and has the potential to become dry or even flaky.

In order to protect the skin after any advanced treatment such as CryoFacial it is important to follow with proper finishing steps provided or recommended by your skin therapist along with a consistent at-home routine. (i.e. targeted moisturizer and spf)

Another thing to consider is the gel itself does not contain any moisturizing properties. Yes, it contains hyaluronic acid which is a moisture binder and by itself can be drying if not paired with another product post-CryoFacial. To add to this the gel is meant as a barrier agent, not a moisturizer or humectant.

Which is better for cellulite (Endospheres or CryoToning)?

Endosphères works on the root causes of the issue; aesthetic results are merely happy consequences of the therapy. CryoToning treatments are great for Clients looking to reduce the appearance of cellulite or skin imperfections. Both treatments are going to be beneficial but I would suggest Endospheres if someone is also experiencing some pressure, pain or discomfort from the cellulite as well. Cryoskin will help smooth out stubborn areas of cellulite that may bother the Client mostly aesthetically speaking.

Understanding Endosphere cellulite protocol – septae are the connective tissue bands that connect the skin to the muscle. When they constrict or harden (usually due to fluid retention in the tissues) the fat deposits that lay between them get squeezed and pushed to the surface which creates the uneven dimpling in the skin (i.e. cellulite). The higher frequencies are able to loosen these connective tissue bands so the fat lays between them evenly, to return the tissues to their natural, smooth appearance. First, though, we have to eliminate the fluid retention that contributed to the formation of the cellulite in the first place otherwise we risk creating bruising + additional inflammation. A good analogy is a water balloon. When a water balloon is full of water, the water exerts pressure on the walls of the balloon, making it appear smooth. When water is drained from the balloon, the pressure decreases, ergo the walls appear wrinkled. So, the cellulite is not in fact worse, it only appears worse because we’ve eliminated the trapped fluid that was partially masking it. Cellulite appearing worse mid-way through a series is actually a good sign as it indicates that we’ve successfully eliminated trapped fluid and, as a result, are now able to work at higher frequencies to physically restructure the skin by loosening the septae that have constricted and/or hardened due to the fluid retention.
